Hi Janice
yes I do all those things you suggested and more..and usually I find at least one clue for the ancestor I am looking for--usually not my own. I do allot for others because I am good at sleuthing-not everybody knows the tricks. Changing the spellings, looking for the neighbor you know they had and finding unindexed ancestors and so on. Susan
